The Microscale Combustion Calorimeter (MCC) was developed by the US Civil Aviation Administration to determine the fire properties of plastic materials in aircrafts. With the MCC it is possible to determine the melting point, ignition point and calorific value of a material with a sample of only a few milligrams.
