Under the hood we can perform fire tests to analyze and determine the properties of materials and products exposed to heat and fire with our gas analyzer. Common properties to determine are heat release rate (the size of the fire), the calorific value and characterization of soot and the substances in the smoke. The hood can also be used for experimental set-ups that do not involve fire but when good ventilation is required.
