Two new doctors in Fire Safety Engineering

– Published 29 February 2020

This week we have seen two successful PhD thesis defenses at the division. On Wednesday (February 26) Frida Vermina Plathner defended her thesis: "Limiting Conditions for a Sustained Flame over Condensed Fuels - Analysis by Experiments and Stagnant Layer Theory". Professor Marc Janssens, Southwest Research Institute, USA was faculty opponent.

On Friday (February 28) Karlis Livkiss defended his thesis: "Fires in Narrow Construction Cavities - Fire Dynamics and Material Fire Performance" and the faculty opponent was Professor Thomas Rogaume, Université de Poitiers, France.

Congratulations to our two new doctors and their great work!
