Dr. Nils Johansson has been granted a 2-year young researcher grant by the Swedish Civil Contingency Agency (MSB). 

Nils will study how fire dynamics models can be can used by emergency services in prevention work, in operational work (for fire forecasting) and in fire investigations. Existing models and theories will be applied in the project but new models will also be developed in areas were knowledge gaps are identified. The primary focus of the project will be on fires in large enclosures and in structural elements.
