New Grants
– Published 6 February 2018
The Division of Fire Safety Engineering has recently been granted two major grants. The first one is an internal infrastructure grant from Lund University in order to build up a medium-scale tunnel test facility. The test facility will become very useful in current projects with e.g. CERN in Switzerland and new upcoming projects. The facility is currently still on the planning stage, but the intent is that the tunnel will be at least 30 m long.
The other grant is a three-year mobility grant for exchange of doctoral students and post-docs with State Key Laboratory of Fire Science (SKLFS) in China. SKLFS holds the largest fire research group in the world and the grant will help to strengthen the collaboration further between the division and SKLFS. The grant is given by The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT).
