A new industrial PhD student is joining our division, Leo Menzemer. Leo is employed by DBI, the Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology. He holds a master degree from the IMFSE programme that is jointly arranged by Ghent University, The University of Edinburgh and Lund University. Leo will conduct research on the impact of evacuation training on the Required Safe Egress Time in bio-based buildings. His PhD has been co-funded by the Innovationsfonden in Denmark. His main supervisor will be Dr Enrico Ronchi and co-supervisors will be Prof Steve Gwynne, Dr Janne Frederiksen and Dr Mette Marie Vad Karsten.
