Dr Enrico Ronchi has published a contribution in the correspondence section of Nature, one of the most prestigious and historical scientific journals in the world and approximately 3 million readers per month. The contribution is entitled “Disaster management: Design buildings for rapid evacuation” and it provides comments on terrorism and evacuation modelling research. This is a significant achievement for our Division and our research field since it represents the first time that an area belonging to fire safety engineering is discussed within such an important interdisciplinary scientific audience. The contribution is also a sign on that the research in the division are of very high quality.
