The 2014 Best Paper Award in the journal Case Studies in Fire Safety was awarded to a joint SP Fire Research and Lund University paper titled: "Performance-based design of road tunnel fire safety: Proposal of new Swedish framework". The first author, Jonatan Gehandler is an industrial PhD student employed at SP Fire Research and he is supervised by associate Professor Håkan Frantzich and visiting Professor Haukur Ingason at the Department of Fire Safety Engineering.
